about

Put simply, My Favourite Fruits is a blog about food, wine, life and the process of consuming all three in all their glory.

Generally, the author of this blog, Janey, her husband Mr L and their most recent fruity family addition, Baby Bear spend their time eating and drinking their way around Australia. Regularly, those indulgences are interesting, delicious and worth writing home about!

About Janey, Mr L and Baby Bear

Janey is a self proclaimed foodie and sometime chef. In her own kitchen, she is the Head Chef, and Mr L arguably comes in close second, holding the contentious position of Sous Chef. Regardless of the infighting, both Janey and Mr L aspire to produce consistently tasty foods – inspired by travels, restaurants, friends, family and peers.  Baby Bear has not yet started making significant contributions to food production, but he does ably aid with product development.

Why Favourite Fruits?

Janey has a kooky saying when she finds something she loves. It isn’t uncommon to have her refer to a mushroom filled with Persian fetta, toasted pinenuts and oregano as “one of my favourite fruits.” So don’t be fooled… This is not a blog about fruit alone.  Apologies fruitarians (though we promise to occasionally feature fruit-focused fare) – we do hope that our fruity sense of humour and fetching posts keep others entertained too!
